On May 27, 2026, Fortress Investment Group announced that funds managed by its affiliates had acquired IPValue Management Group, one of the world’s leading patent‑licensing companies. IPValue, founded in 2001, manages strategic licensing for more than 20,000 patents in fields ranging from displays and semiconductors to memory, IT devices and networking. The company has generated over US$2 billion for its partners and focuses on maximizing long‑term IP value while ensuring fair returns for research and development investments.
