CounterX Therapeutics has obtained an exclusive license from the University of Minnesota and the University of Washington for existing and pending patents related to monoclonal antibodies and vaccine candidates targeting fentanyl and other synthetic opioids. The company’s CEO stated that the agreement “strengthens our intellectual property position and provides the foundation for delivering new therapies,” and indicated plans to advance the lead candidate, CTR-X-101, into clinical trials in 2026.
