Maxeon Solar Technologies and China’s AIKO Solar have ended their long-running patent dispute over back-contact solar cell and module technologies and entered into a five-year agreement under which AIKO will license Maxeon’s patents outside the United States. Under the agreement, both companies will withdraw all lawsuits and patent invalidation actions. According to JUVE Patent, the licensing fee is reported to be about RMB 2.31 billion (approximately $231 million), making it one of the largest patent licensing deals ever between Chinese companies. The deal is considered particularly significant due to the high licensing fee and its potential impact on the global commercialization of solar cell technology.

Maxeon Solar Technologiesと中国のAIKO Solarは、バックコンタクト太陽電池とモジュール技術に関する長年の特許紛争を終結させ、Maxeonの特許を米国以外で5年間ライセンス供与する契約を締結した。契約により両社はすべての訴訟や特許無効請求を撤回する。JUVE Patentによると、このライセンス料は約23.1億人民元（約2.31億ドル）と報じられ、中国企業間で過去最大級の特許ライセンス契約となる。ライセンス料が高額で、世界的な太陽電池技術の商用化に影響するため最も重要と評価した。
