OFA Group has restructured the intellectual property (IP) of QIKBIM, a construction and property management platform. Under a new IP transfer and co-ownership agreement, the company acquired a 50% co-ownership interest in QIKBIM. By capitalizing approximately $12 million in past development costs as assets and reclassifying them from operating expenses to assets, OFA strengthened its balance sheet. Under the agreement, OFA has sole authority over commercial decisions such as the product roadmap and pricing, and is entitled to receive 50% of licensing fees and other revenue. Profits will be shared 50/50 with its partner after the company has recovered its investment.
