Hollywood and Bollywood urge Indian government to strengthen AI copyright protections

The Motion Picture Association (MPA), a Hollywood film industry group, and the Indian Film Producers' Association submitted a joint statement to the Indian Ministry of Commerce's Copyright Law Review Committee opposing comprehensive exemption provisions that would permit AI companies to use film and program data. They called for a licensing system instead.
映画業界団体ハリウッドのモーション・ピクチャー・アソシエーション（MPA）とインド映画製作者組合は、インド商務省の著作権法見直し委員会に対し、AI企業による映画・番組データ利用を許す包括的な免除規定に反対し、ライセンス制を求める意見書を提出した。
